Do you prefer lose 40 pounds in 8 weeks, and have it back with EXTRA bonus, or lose 40 pounds in a year and say good-bye to them for good? If you chose the second option, please, read this article. If not, go back to your miraculous diet program, which results you are going to regret pretty soon.

I've have been reading a lot about diets, experiencing a hell of a life of GAIN-WEIGHT-LOSE-WEIGH myself, and I can confirm what most of the specialist say: the best diet is self-control. Forget about all these diet programs. They fail big time.

Unless you are willing to make an "oversize" effort, you will NEVER reach your desired weight. You can disagree with me, you can insult me... I don't care. I am here to help you telling you the truth. Here 10 hints that helped me to lose a lot of weight and keep it up:

1. Make sure you have 3 regular meals and lots of water in between;

2. Never eat after 8 p.m

3. Exercise. Instead of elevator, stairs. Instead of car, walk.

4. Develop a hobby that can keep your thoughts away from the refrigerator;

5. Don't buy food that you know is going to make you put some weight.

6. Never think that you can do whatever you want on the weekends (I mean, food wise)

7. Remember, you don't need to eat the whole portion at the restaurant: think about your dog! Bring home.

8. Never buy XL clothes. It's good if you don't feel comfortable in your clothes.

9. Start flirting with your husband again. It will give you a high self-esteem. It's a nice encouragement to lose weight.

10. DON'T WATCH TV - they have innumerous crappy food commercials. Stay away from temptations.

These are different attitudes that worked for me. Try to find your downfalls and develop your own rules. Good luck!
